For those that have not pumped their skin full of poison to try and stay young the inevitable will happen. We age as intended but we all age differently due to the circumstances of our lives.
She was from what I can gather a Romanian gypsy busking on the streets of Liverpool with an accordion for money. I say from what I can gather as we spoke different languages, she knew little English so it was through gestures and the odd word she knew we managed to get through. When she laughed, which she did, she showed a mouth that had been as neglected as her skin care, not many teeth left.
But I would not have changed anything about her even if I had the ways and means to. She wore the road map to her life on her face, its not been an easy life you can tell but its her life. He face has not been "plasticised" by the pursuit of eternal youth, she had expression, she was more alive than the models advertising the next revolution in skin care.
We are after all skin and bones, we are as natural as the trees that grow around us and just like them we go through a life cycle. I would not deface a tree by stripping back its bark and waxing or varnishing its trunk, so why do the same to ourselves. Embrace who you are, road map and all.
